Trace is a voice-first personal assistant published by Ulookup
Technologies LLP (“we”, “us”,
“our”). This page explains how you can request that your
Trace account and the data associated with it be deleted, what gets
deleted, and how long it takes.
How to request deletion
To request deletion of your account and associated data, email us from
the email address associated with your Trace account:
-
Send an email to
support@heytrace.app
from the email address you use to sign in to Trace.
- Use the subject line “Account deletion request”.
-
Include the email address tied to your Trace account so we can locate
and verify it. We may ask you to confirm the request to prevent
unauthorized deletion.
We will confirm receipt and process your request as described below.
There is no charge for deleting your account.
What data is deleted
When we delete your account, we permanently remove the data we hold
about you, including:
-
Your account information — email address, display name, and
credentials.
- Audio recordings you made through the App.
- Transcripts of those recordings.
-
Content generated about you — notes, reminders, meeting
summaries, insights, and chat messages.
- Trace’s private long-term memory of you.
- Your timezone and push notification tokens.
What data may be kept, and for how long
-
Your account data and the content you created are permanently deleted
from our active systems within 30 days of a verified request.
-
Data may persist in encrypted backups on a rolling cycle of up to 90
days before being overwritten.
-
We may retain a limited amount of information where we are legally
required to (for example, to comply with tax, accounting, or
fraud-prevention obligations), and we delete it once that obligation
ends.
-
Standard server logs (such as IP addresses and request timestamps) are
retained for a limited operational period, typically not longer than
90 days.
